Exciting times at the Cargill Curling Training Centre
at the Morris Curling Club in Morris, Manitoba
Programs 2023-2024

The Cargill Curling Training Centre (CCTC) will once again be running its team-based training programs. Teams (or groups of athletes) will have the opportunity to train at the CCTC using the latest equipment including the CCTC’s Accurate Rock Thrower. This will allow you to see some of the equipment we are using at the centre.

The CCTC will be offering the following training programs:

Junior Curling Development Program

May – September

$120/person

  • Learn/enhance curling skills this summer!
  • May to September
  • Qualified coaches instructing all curlers

Summer Curling Leagues

Cargill Curling Training Centre (CCTC) Summer Membership

May 1 - September 30 (5 Months)

  • Unlimited ice booking when the club is open
  • 2 - 2 hour team sessions on the Canadian Rock Thrower (CRT) - $1500 value
  • Use of all CCTC training equipment except the rock thrower (once coaches are trained by us) - $1000 value

CCTC U21 Practice Perfect Training program (PP) – Tuesday evenings

27 weeks plus CCTC facility privileges.
  • September - March
  • Structured lessons with plans provided. These lessons include 1 hour with one of the CCTC instructors and 1 hours of planned activity led by the team coach with CCTC oversight.
  • 27 x 2 hours ice and equipment rental
  • Minimum of 1 hour of instruction time per session with guidance on the 2nd hour
  • 4 free hours on the CCTC's Accurate Rock Thrower
  • Sessions on planning fitness, introductory sport psych, strategy, nutrition etc.
  • CCTC membership benefits which includes:
    • September to March, 7 days a week 10 A.M. – 10 P.M. subject to ice availability
    • Free use all CCTC training equipment except the rock thrower

CCTC U21 membership – Every day 10am-10pm

7 months
  • September - March
  • 20 hours dedicated training time with Chris or Lorne
  • 6 free hours on the CCTC's Accurate Rock Thrower
  • Invitations to sessions with the Practice Perfect program on planning fitness programs, nutrition, sport psych and strategy
  • CCTC membership benefits which includes:
    • September to March, 7 days a week 10 A.M. – 10 P.M.
    • Free use all CCTC training equipment except the rock thrower

CCTC & Practice Perfect Adult membership - Every day 10am-10pm

7 months
  • September - March

Outreach training program

Offered for individuals or teams that are too far away to come on a regular weekly basis. Book training weekend(s) that fit your schedules. Call to discuss times and pricing.
